Workshop: I See Water You Don’t See

Water is required for the production of food and everyday objects, such as T-shirts and smartphones. Often, large quantities have to be procured in distant areas of the world, far beyond our field of vision. This workshop makes this hidden water consumption visible. It shows the effects our lifestyle has on the earth’s water problems. Participants ascertain the water consumption for the manufacture of various products and determine their own “water footprint”. As a next step, they seek to identify the impact on water problems worldwide as well as possible ways out of the water crisis.
